JOB FUNCTION / PURPOSE
We are looking for a dynamic outside sales executive that can provide both vision and leadership within a business development setting and that can execute upon set revenue objectives. The role of the Senior Account Executive (SAE) is to perform as a “hunter” within our hunter/farmer model and to maximize revenue generation thru new account acquisition.
PRINCIPLE ACTIVITIES / OBJECTIVES
- Perform prospect generation activities such as cold calling visits and identifying and qualifying potential opportunities.
- Identify new sales leads and follow-up on leads.
- Create sales proposals (with the help of the Account Executive) in enterprise-wide software system.
- Maintain opportunity/prospect database and provide detailed information on work in progress.
- Work with CAD and installation departments to create solution design.
- Serve as primary sales contact for new clients.
- Follow up with customers to ensure maximum satisfaction and to identify up-sell opportunities.
NATURE & SCOPE
The SAE will be responsible for generating and supporting a “book-of-business” thru a combination of the following activities: existing clientele up-selling, prospect cold calling, event networking, incoming lead follow-up, prospect qualification, opportunity support, solution design and proposal generation. The SAE will be assigned a dedicated Account Executive (AE) who will serve as the “farmer” to support all new business origination. It is expected that the SAE provide mentorship and guidance to the AE, with end goal of mutually originating as much new business as possible.
The AE should demonstrate a strategic and analytical approach to penetrating new accounts. The ideal candidate possesses a very process oriented, methodical approach to driving the sales process within a complex selling environment. A high degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENTS
It is preferred that candidates have between 5+ years experience in consulting sales, account management, or high-end professional services business development. The ideal candidate brings with them to SURV a portfolio of business (i.e. an existing client base) that can be serviced by SURV.
The ideal candidate should have high integrity, humility and a desire to work in a leading sales and service organization. Experience in successfully negotiating complex sales is preferred. Candidate must have strong excel, word and PC skills and have excellent interpersonal skills as well as organizational skills. Candidate must be able to handle a fast paced environment, must be a team player and must be detail-oriented. Ideally, a candidate has a background either selling high-tech or IT related products and/or services, or selling into the IT arena.
A BA/BS is preferred. However, in lieu of a bachelor’s degree, any candidate that has a proven track record (i.e. 10+ years) in outside sales will be given due consideration.
This position is a salary + commission position, where the ability to earn a greater income is directly tied to the opportunity closure rate. The individual who will be successful in this role is someone that works hard (i.e. this is not a 9 am – 5 pm job) and enjoys being highly compensated for their contributions.

Senior /Jr. Technician
LOCATION: Wilmington, MA
DEPARTMENT: Operations
REPORTS TO: Installation Manager / Director of Operations
FULL-TIME / HOURLY: Hourly
JOB FUNCTION / PURPOSE
The senior technician is responsible for providing installation and repair services- i.e. installing and servicing electronic security devices such as: access control devices, CCTV equipment, alarm panels, intercoms, IP addressable cameras, digital video records (DVRs), matrix switches and servers etc. to our clients. The technician is responsible for completing the assigned work within an allotted time frame and to an expected standard of quality expected by SURV. On each job, the senior tech on the job maintains overall responsibility for the crew/client and the overall workmanship/outcome of the job.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A Junior technician must have a minimum of 2+ years of hands-on technical experience
- A Senior technician must have a minimum of 5+ years of hands-on technical experience
- Must be skilled with the use of hand/power tools
- Must have a proven track record of attention to detail
- Must have exceptional organization skills
- Must have exceptional oral and written communication skills
- Must be fully committed to customer satisfaction.
- Must possess a valid MA or NH driver's license (required)
- Massachusetts Low Voltage Class-D license (required)
- Must be knowledgeable in basic computer operations and home access to a pc and internet is a requirement
- Prior experience with electronic security and CCTV (major plus)
- Computer programming and networking knowledge (major plus)
